Underwater thickness gauging

The basic principle 
The detector launch ultrasonic pulse and rush to probe and spread, when come to the material  interface it will be reflected back to the probe, through the accurate measurement of ultrasonic  propagate in the material's time to determine the thickness of the material being tested.
